Cindy’s Baking Angels is proud to sponsor our first Air Force nominee! Chris is part of an A-10 Warthog unit based at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.
Warthog News: October 3rd: A U.S. Air Force A-10 Thunderbolt II from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base's 354th Fighter Squadron taxis to its parking spot at Bagram Air Field, Afghanistan, Oct. 3, 2012. The 354 FS 'Bulldogs' are relieving Bagram's current team of Arkansas and Maryland Air National Guard A-10 aircrews and will soon take on the mission of providing daily close-air support to NATO and Afghan ground forces operating in Afghanistan.
Chris shares, “We have around 50 guys in our shop and around 300 all together with us. There are probably only 10 of us that have deployed before.”
Cindy’s Baking Angels always asks if there are special requests that the Troops might need and Chris has a few for their list.
“The biggest request I have heard is Frank's hot sauce. They have Pete's hot sauce and Tabasco sauce out here but the guys are missing their Frank's. I'm also being told white chocolate macadamia nuts, drink mixes, and toiletries are the major ones,” says Chris.
