Cindy's Baking Angels is proud to be able to support Marine LCpl Ryan Humphreys, son of Angel Mary Ann Humphreys this month!
A little about Ryan and Team Red Cloud
Mary Ann is obviously very proud of her Baltimore, Maryland born Marine. They now reside in Abingdon, MD. Mary Ann writes, "Ryan joined the Marines through the delayed entry program at 17 and left a couple of weeks after graduation in 2012. He is stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC along with his brother, John, and cousin, Bruce. This is Ryan's first deployment and he is greatly missed by his family and friends."

Ryan is a member of BLT 1/6 Weapons Company, 81 mm Mortar Platoon, Red Cloud. Recently on the USS Bataan Facebook page, Ryan was honored for his accomplishments.
USS Bataan wrote, "LCpl Ryan Humphreys serves as a gunner for Red Cloud, 1st section adjusting gun, a position normally filled by a corporal. The fastest skilled Mortar-man within the unit, he is directly responsible for the correct employment of the 81mm mortar, which includes set up of the system and applying the appropriate firing data to allow accurate fires on a target. He’s been labeled as the 'go to guy' throughout his section due to his outstanding problem solving and dynamic planning skills."
Special Requests
Mary Ann has some thoughts about some much needed supplies. She shares, "Ryan says it is very hot on the ship. He is always requesting bottles of Mio or other water flavoring.
He likes beef jerky, peach gummy rings, power bars, Rice Krispie treats, chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter cookies, muffins, and brownies.
