A little about Team Alpha CO.70th BSB
Suzanne Slavin couldn't be prouder of her son. She writes, "Jon graduated from Ohio University with a business degree and a finance major. He had always felt that it was his patriotic duty to serve his country and follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfathers.
After college graduation, Jonathan was accepted into the US Army. His first assignment upon entering active duty was to complete basic training at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
Upon completing basic training, his next duty station was at Officer's Candidate School also at Ft. Benning, Georgia. He was then commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He received training at the The Army Transportation School at Ft. Lee, Virginia. Upon graduating, he was assigned to duty as a transportation officer at Camp Casey, S. Korea.
Jon's positions at Camp Casey, Korea have been varied. He has served as a platoon leader company executive officer and as an acting company commander."
Jonathan shares his families strong commitment to our country. He says, "My cousin is a Marine stationed at 29 Palms and my brother is currently a ROTC Cadet attending Ohio University."
Special Requests
Jonathan writes, "As far as specific baked goods or comfort items are concerned we have no special requests. We're humbled at this distinction and we will happily receive what we're given. I am lucky in that my unit is a humble breed."
The choice is yours, Angels! Let's get those Angel Goodie Boxes filled and show this Soldier just how much he and his Battle Buddies are appreciated in all that they do!
