Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend & Beach Blast 2017
Semper Fi Sisters, our partner and affiliate, has a very special invitation for you and are in need of our Angel support. Two very special projects, Beach Blast and Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend, are coming up and SFS is in need of our Angel support once again.
FCWW wanted me to share this special message with our Angels! "Thank you and your team for the continued support, year after year for these Warrior Heroes that will attend! Your sweet treats annually are something everyone looks forward to! (word has gotten around ;-)). And the bandanas for the service animals are going to be just a highlight for our attending Warriors with Service Dogs. We sure to thank everyone who will participate!!!"
I'm hoping we can provide them with a few items needed to make their weekends successful. Please read on for more information and I look forward to your assistance as we once again support our Veterans, Warriors, and their Caregivers.
Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend: Project Needs
Brenda Garth and SFS are requesting our support again this year for their May 17-21 Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend. They are in need of a few comfort items, sweet treats, and dog bandanas for the attendees.
"The Forgotten Coast Warrior Weekend is to Honor American Heroes, those wounded, and their Caregivers. We bring 24 Warriors in along with their Caregivers for a 5 day respite and deep sea fishing adventure along the 'Forgotten Coast' of Gulf County Florida on the Gulf of Mexico," writes Brenda. Deadline for receipt of most items requested is May 16th.
9th Annual Beach Blast Invitation....
Semper Fi Sisters is sponsoring their 9th Annual Beach Blast, September 27th to October 1st in Destin, Florida! Brenda Garth and SFS have extended a personal invitation to our Angels to join them for this very special weekend.
Brenda Garth writes, "Women from all across America who are related to active duty military, Veterans, wounded/injured or deceased come together for 'Fun with a Purpose.' While we share tons of laughter, hugs, a few shared tears, enormous amounts of understanding, shared information & resources, together we participate in a military and Veteran service project. Arrive as Guests and Depart as Sisters!"
