A little about Team Thundering Third-MRF-Lima Co.
Cindy's Baking Angels would like to thank Pamela Stokes for referring Alston and his Buddies for our support this month! Our Angels are looking forward to supporting them!
Pamela shares, "Born and raised in Georgia, this Marine loves his God, his country, his family and friends! This will be Alston's first deployment. He has been a Marine for four years and has been stationed in five different states due to his Security Forces MOS (including boot camp). He honors his heritage of service to our country as far back as the Revolutionary War, Civil War and World War II as his ancestors served. More recently, Alston's bonus dad, granddad and brother-in-law have served in the Army, Air Force, and Marines respectively."
"Alston enjoys working out, hiking, hunting, and serving in his church and community. His athletic abilities developed through his school days with baseball, football, wrestling and tennis, as well as his determination to succeed, and saw him through "THE CRUCIBLE." Alston has wanted to be a Marine since he was very young - the photo with him holding the pencil drawn photo of what he wanted to do when he finished high school was given to me by his 3nd grade student teacher from the first day of school that year. I had it framed and gave it to him as one of his boot camp graduation presents (talk about a tear jerker for all the MoM's sitting nearby at graduation)!"
Special Requests...
Alston is a very health conscious young man and he would love protein bars, protein powder, as well as any health care/toiletries & supplies, UNO card games, military books, socks, sunscreen, chapstick, and vitamins. The guys in his group love most anything including candy and junk food!
