A little about Team MSG Detachment Kampala..
MSgt Daniel Zawistowski is a familiar face to our Angels. We have supported Daniel twice before during different deployments. Our Angels are excited to be able to support him and his Buddies during their new deployment!
Daniel writes, "We are Marine Security Guard Detachment at the U.S. Embassy in Kampala, Uganda. Our detachment is made up of U.S. Marines assigned overseas as part of the Marine Security Guard program. Our primary mission is to help protect U.S. diplomatic personnel and facilities and support the security mission of the U.S. Embassy.
Serving overseas is a unique experience. Our Marines spend an extended period away from family (sometimes 2-3 years), friends, and many of the conveniences of home while representing the Marine Corps and the United States abroad. Kampala has been a great opportunity for our Marines to experience a different culture and part of the world, but receiving something from home—especially snacks, treats, and personal notes—can make a huge difference in morale.
We are a close-knit group, and packages like these are something the Marines can share together and genuinely look forward to."

Special Requests...
We are grateful for anything your Angels are willing to send. Some items the Marines would especially enjoy include:
* Homemade cookies, brownies, and other baked goods
* Beef jerky
* Protein bars
* Nuts (Cashews, Walnuts, Pistachios)
* Chips, crackers, and individually packaged snacks
* Gummies
* Peanut butter, Nutella
* Pop-Tarts and breakfast/snack bars
* Drink mixes, electrolyte packets, and hydration powders
* Hot sauce (Tapatio, Cholula)
* Trader Joe's goods. (Snacks, healthy items)
* Hygiene products such as body wash, razors, shaving cream, toothpaste, and similar items.
* Small morale items, Marine Corps-themed items, cards, letters, or notes from home.
Variety is always appreciated since everyone has different favorites.
How To Join Our Team!
Team sign-ups begin Sunday, September 20th. Please bookmark this page! On the 20th, a special "Register" button will be available for you to join this team! Shipping will run from September 21st - October 5th, 2026.
At that time you will be able to enter your first and last name, plus your email address. You will see a note at the bottom of the page that you are subscribed.
A Team Newsletter will be sent to you shortly after your registration. It will provide you with tips and easy to follow instructions for shipping and mailing.
