A little about Team S6 Dog Faced Soldiers...
Cindy's Baking Angels would like to thank Michelle Odle for referring her son, Joshua, for our Angel support this month. Our Angels will take very good care of Joshua and his Buddies!
Michelle writes, "My son, PFC Joshua Raymond is 19 and on his first deployment. He enjoys gaming, working on his car and collecting sneakers and baseball hats. He has already decided to re-enlist when his term is up and is enjoying the experiences and opportunities."
"He first left for basic a month before COVID hit so with these unprecedented times, we have missed out on being there for his graduations, etc. We were very fortunate to be able to have his unit let him go off base for his promotion ceremony so that we could attend and I was able to pin him," shares Michelle.
Michelle adds, "He is very missed by his grandparents, parents, sister and dogs but we are so proud of him. I have been doing my best to send items to his unit while they have been deployed but the extra help in getting these items to them would be a great blessing."
Special Requests...
Michelle shares items that her son and his Buddies need.
They are in need of personal hygiene products (male/female)- shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, chapstick, sunscreen. They also enjoy getting pedialyte drink packets to add to their water, sunflower seeds, cookies, protein bars, gum, etc. They are very appreciative of anything that is sent.
How To Join Our Team!
Team sign-ups begin Friday, September 24th. Please bookmark this page! On the 24th, a special "Register" button will be available for you to join this team! Shipping will run from October 1st to 15th.
At that time you will be able to enter your first and last name, plus your email address. This is a double opt-in function through MailChimp. You will receive an email asking you to verify that you wish to join and you will be asked to respond to finalize the registration process. All of this will be done automatically and securely.
A Team Newsletter will be sent to you shortly after your registration. It will provide you with tips and easy to follow instructions for shipping and mailing.
For those who are unable to ship on their own, but would like to participate, donations are always gratefully accepted. Your donations are used to send more goodie boxes in your name to our Troops! To find out about Donations, CLICK HERE!
