Team Loggerheads Baking Angels ~ June 2015

Featuring LCpl Malcolm A. Bolin

A little about Team Loggerheads

Mary Bolin is one proud Marine Mom! We are pleased to be able to support Malcolm and his Buddies during their deployment. Thank you, Mary, for all of your efforts in getting this team up and running!

Mary shares a little background about Team Loggerheads and their deployment. She writes, "The Loggerheads are in the midst of a nine-month deployment to an undisclosed region.

For the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, Marines aboard the ship are in a critical location with good sites for conducting live-fire training exercises at sea and ground training exercises in the region. It also positions them in an area where they may be called upon for crisis response."

Mary continues, "My son has been in the USMC for 2 years now and this is his first deployment. He has wanted to be a soldier since he was 4 years old. When he entered high school his freshman year he joined JROTC where he quickly decided his calling was to be a Marine. He had 4 years of ROTC under his belt when he joined the Marines. He also served a year as a poolee. He is very outgoing; always the class clown. He loves helping others and will be the first in line to help in any way he can. His job with the Marines has him reading lots of maps and doing tons of math."
