A little about Team 3 BN 1 MAR....

Cindy's Baking Angels is pleased to support Andrew and his Buddies this month. Thank you, Shanda Barnes, for referring him for our support! Our Angels will take very good care of them.

Shanda shares, "Andrew, we call him Andy, knew he wanted to join the military at the age of six. He early enlisted at the age of 17 and joined the Marines shortly after graduation. He has been in for almost two years and this is his first deployment." 

"He wrestled in high school and is an appreciative young man. He’s the first to share items with his buddies. He would give you the shirt off his back without question. I’ve had many FaceTime calls where buddies have jumped on to thank me for items I have sent," Shanda adds. 

"We are from NC and his permanent duty station is in CA. He’s with an all-male unit and they are infantry mostly 0311, which is riflemen.  Many of his group send money home to support family so they don’t get a lot of support themselves," writes Shanda.
